MATTING YOUR PHOTOSCLICK SMALLER IMAGES TO SEE FULL PAGE SAMPLES Some might call me a ‘mad matter’ because I mat almost all of my photos. I just can’t help it. I think it adds a finishing touch. It does not have to be so time consuming. You don’t have to measure every micro-inch to make sure all sides are exactly equal – if you eyeball and cut the paper before you adhere the photo you are matting, you can adjust the photo to fit right in the center. You can also triple mat or make one side a little wider than the other three to decorate with ribbon, buttons, flowers or journaling. If you want to get even fancier, try this interactive mat. Cut four circles each the same size. Measure the diameter of the circle – Cut a square (same or coordinating paper) where the measurement of each side is equal to the diameter of the circle. Fold each circle in half. Adhere half of each circle to a side of the square. Fold the circles over the edge of the square, therefore enclosing the square. Use the enclosed square to hide (mat) a photo, journaling, or memorabilia. Do You Have an Idea You Want to Share? We hope these little tips help you as you work on your projects.
