Scrapbooking and Card Making Class Descriptions

 Beginner Classes

 First Step , ( February 8, Mon, 6pm)  If you have been wanting to start a scrapbook but have been halted by the mounds and boxes of photos, then you must not know where to begin.  Start with us.  This class is dedicated to helping you sort your photos & outlining your projects.  We will give you tips on sorting and organizing your photos and memorabilia.  Receive a photo storage box.  Bring your boxes/bags of photos to this class.    $10 per person                                                                

 

First Page (February 9, Tues, 6pm) Don’t be overwhelmed with the idea of starting a scrapbook.  Join in on this class and learn about tools, how to choose your photos, crop and mat your photos, layout designs, working with colors, journaling, and titles.  These are the basic steps for every page and once you feel comfortable with these, you are well on your way! 

Bring:   4-6 photos of related theme and beginner’s tools to this class.   $10 per person

 

 

Techniques Classes

 

NEW!!!   Sketches 2 (February 13 at 1030am OR February 23 at 6pm).   Imagine never having to come up with your own layout designs again!   In this class, you will get a sketch (layout design diagram) and create a page exactly like the sketch (this shows you how easy it is to follow a sketch) - then see alternate ways to make pages using the same layout sketch.  Each month the sketch will feature increasing numbers of photos - February pages use 2 photos.  Come each month and gain a supply of sketches that will be all you need to scrapbook for ever!   Call for more details!   $10 per person.

 

Paper Possibilities (February 15, Mon, 6pm)   Paper is not just a sheet behind your photos!  You can do so much to paper to add variety to your pages and cards:  try your hands at embossing, inking, tearing, sanding, punching and more!  See the difference you can make.  Bring beginner tools.  $15 per person                          

 

Journaling Basics. (February 21, Sun, 1pm)  Let’s face it, this is the part of every page that most of us hate.  It is hard to choose the right words.  If you are stuck at journaling, sign up for this class to get some great ideas to jump start your writer’s block.   No supplies necessary.   $10 per person.                        

 

Basic Scrappin' Techniques  (February 3, Wed, 6pm) If you have been wanting to try some new products to add some variety to your pages and cards, this class is s great place to start.  We give you a chance to try some new things and get some practice.  Learn how easy it is to use brads, eyelets, buttons, ribbons, flowers and more.  Also try out some new tools and see loads of ideas to use these great products.  Bring beginner tools.   $15per person.

 

Vellum Mysteries.  (February 22, Mon, 6pm) Vellum has so many uses but if you have not tried it out, don’t wait any longer.  Learn what to do with all that vellum you have been gathering over the years.   $10 per person. 

 

Kaleidoscope Designs. (February 16,  Tues, 6pm)   Learn how to create a kaleidoscope with paper and with photos!   Bring 8 SAME photos, or 4 SAME photos with 4 SAME FLIPPED photos.   $10 per person.

 

                                                  

Equipment Classes

 

NEW!!   Mickey & Friends Cricut Cartridge  (January 30, Sat, 1pm)   if you are having trouble figuring out the layering of this cartridge - sign up for this class!  You will create three different characters and then use them on a double page layout.  $20 per person.  You will need to bring your Cricut or Expressions machine, Mickey & Friends cartridge, mat and adhesive.  All other supplies are provided.

 

 Design Studio  (February 13, Sat, 1pm) If you own the software for the Cricut, we can show you how to use it.  Of course, you could figure it all out on your own, by why would you want to?   You will need to bring your laptop with DS fully installed, your Cricut or Expressions machine, and font cartridge and mat.  (If your DS is on your desktop, let us know, we can let you use ours).   $25 per person.  

 

Cricut/Expressions for Beginners  (February 10, Wed, 6pm) If you own a Cricut or Expressions machine,  want to buy one, or want to get the most out of using OUR Cricut while at a CROP, this class is for you.   Learn to use all the basic features and settings that are the same with both machines. Bring your Cricut machine, George or Plantin Schoolbook cartridge, and mat.  $15 per person.       

 

Advanced Expressions (February 18, Thurs,  6pm) Congrats on getting your new Expressions!!  Now get the most out of it by learning how to use all of the NEW features. (You should already know all the basic features, including Real Dial Size, Reset, Load Last, Cartridge feature keys like Shadow, etc)   Bring your machine, mat and Plantin Schoolbook cartridge.  $15 per person.   

                                            

 

Project Classes

 

                                                                       

Page Class -  Winter Theme, (February 17, Wed, 6pm) Create a two page layout of ‘a Winter' theme, perfect for photos of all the snow we have had.  All supplies are prepared and ready to assemble.   See samples of versions to choose from in the store.  $20 per person.                                              

 

Word Book Class  (February 24, Wed, 6pm)  (you choose the word of your book).  You will learn how to cover the pages and treat the edges of each page in this class.   It will be ready for photos and decorations.  $35 per person (includes your book).     

  

 

Card Making Classes     

 

Cards Galore  (February 11, 6pm, using Felted Cardstock and a Shutter Fold techniques) You will make different cards in this class using a different technique.  See samples in the store or in our Gallery.  Bring beginner tools.        

 

Card Making for Beginners (February 25, Thurs, 6pm)   If you have never made a card but want to learn how – join in the fun! You will make three different types of cards in this class.  Bring beginner tools.  $15 per person 

 

If the date and time for the class you want is not good for you, we will provide a PRIVATE CLASS if you have a group of three or more - just call to arrange.

 

 CROPS  

 All Crops include your table space, use of all Crop Stop equipment and access to the whole store of supplies if you need to shop for anything to complete your pages, we will run a tab for you.

 

Friday Night Crops / Sunday Crops.  Every Friday Night ! 6 hours of cropping, sncaks/beverages, give-aways, and a make-n-take.  Fee:   $10 per person

 

Friday Early Birds Cropping   Get a jump start on the night, come in any time between 2:00pm and 5:30pm for only $2 more!  (Normal Crop room rate is $2 per hour)

  

 SUPERBOWL SUNDAY CROP,  February 7, 2010(11am-5pm)    Well, the Steelers are not in it, so what else do you have to do!?   Includes your table space and use of equipment for 7 hours of cropping with friends.  Beverages, snacks and light lunch are provide. Please bring your favorite Superbowl Party Snack to share.  Make a weekend out if it and come to all the crops this weekend!   $10.

 
CROP SHOP Birthday CROP,  February 6, 2010, 9am-9pm.  We are turning 3!!  Celebrate with us for 12 hours of cropping and fun, use of Crop Stop equipment, give-aways, snacks/beverages, and Breakfast & Dinner.  $20 per person.
 
Chocolate CROP.  February 20, 2010,  10am-7pm.  Yummy!  Chocolate AND scrapbooking in the same event?!  Join in for 9 hours of scrapping, use of Crop Stop equipment, Dinner, Snacks and beverages.  $10 per person
 

SPRING FLING WEEKEND CROP, March 19-21, 2010, (Friday through Sunday) located at The Courtyard Marriott, Greensburg.   The fun starts Friday at 12 Noon and does not stop until Sunday afternoon at 2pm.  Fees include:  Table space, use of equipment, on-site shopping, all meals, snacks/beverages, contests, Chinese Auction, and shuttle service to The Crop Shop.    Full Weekend Package:  $135Fri/Sat Package or Sat/Sun Package:  $95.     Room rates at the Courtyard Marriott are $109 per single or double.   Registration for FULL and PARTIAL WEEKEND NOW OPEN!!   Call now!   Seats will go fast!    Call for cancellation policy for this event!

 

Portrait Club Crop  (January 17, Sun,  12-4pm) 4 hours of working on your portrait album.  We will have a ton of ideas waiting for you to use so this project gets completed quickly.  Snacks/beverages included.     Fee:  $5 per person

 Mom & Me Crop.  (January 10, Sunday, 12-4pm) 4 hours of bonding time with your 7 year or older child, grandchild, niece or nephew.  Includes snacks/beverages and a technique demo for your young one to learn.        Fee:  $5 per person

 

Cropping in the Crop Stop!  If you cannot make it to a Friday Night - how about cropping throughout the day!  During regular store hours, so long as no crop event is scheduled, you can use the cropping room!  Join us for a few hours or all day to get caught up on your projects!   $2/hour (Crop Club members are free all the time),  or on Thursdays, crop for $1/hour for the first three hours, then for free!

 

 

EVENTS

 

Chick-fil-a Family Night.  Join us at the Chick-fil-a, Greensburg on the first Tuesday night of each month.  Family Night is filled with fun as the kids eat, play, enjoy a Crop Shop craft, try for prizes with their trivia questions AND get to make their own free Sundae!
